Naomi Clare Crellin

FOUNDER + CEO | The Adaptor

I help teams to distill intent and insights into actionable, accessible strategies, refining big ideas and concepts into experiences that are meaningful and measurable. I’ll map a strategic process that leads the team and the client through development to delivery, working with teams to define their goals, refine their message, and measure the impact of the stories we craft.  My interests are focused on the intersection of spatial experience and message - I’ve worked with a wide array of organizations, causes and teams from Microsoft and Motorola, to Bloomberg and the IFC, the Smithsonian and the Human Rights Campaign.

Through my career I have taught as adjunct faculty, bringing students together in partnership with organizations that make our world a better place. My perspective as an empowering educator of curious creative minds, and maker of meaning in experience strategy, shapes my overall approach. I love to see - and help - people succeed. I find joy in the process of co-creating with teams as we generate engagement, tell stories through interactions - seeing ideas take hold individuality and take flight collectively is truly exhilarating. I love what we do together.

Katy Mull

DIRECTOR, EXPERIENCE STRATEGY | The Explorer

I help teams elevate understanding of audience – What drives them? Why do they fall in love? What makes them pause and think? Or share with their friends? How does this experience function as an element of their Human journey? Through Empathy, Imagination and Creativity, I leverage my background in media + digital and human-centered design to conceptualize innovative approaches to engagement.  My passion for storytelling and study of digital experiences offer a unique perspective on journey mapping and innovative UX.

I’ve spent several years as a multimedia storyteller in the nonprofit sector, producing and editing short video stories and creating narratives that dealt with a diverse range of topics, including advocacy issues, human-centered stories, and international policy discussions. My personal pursuit of stories about human connection has translated into my work as an experience designer and I’ve applied this perspective to clients such as NASA, Google XI, Veritas, CityNeon and the Society for Motion Picture and Television Engineers (SMPTE).

Storycraft Lab worked with C200 on the reimagination of our annual conference. When I was first introduced to them, I was not sure what to expect.  I soon learned that their innovative and collaborative approach to planning is unique and very effective.

Storycraft Lab’s approach to audience engagement was a vital part of the success of the production of our annual meeting as it made sure that all of our members were given the tools to navigate the content and experience in a thoughtful way and create strong connections with our message. It helped us think differently, and engage in new ways.

Every design element was thought out with a specific purpose in mind in order to present a meaningful picture of what the event should be. I recommend them wholeheartedly.
